We pulled up carpet and found old hardwood. Can it be saved?
Usually yes. Tack strip holes, pet stains, and a few damaged boards are all repairable, and spot refinishing can blend repairs without redoing the whole floor. We assess it honestly; occasionally a full refinish is the better spend.
