TV Mounting questions
Can a TV go above a fireplace?
Often, with two checks first: mantel heat (we verify surface temperature above the firebox) and viewing angle (a tilt or pull-down mount fixes the height problem). Some setups genuinely are too hot, and we will say so.
How do you hide the cables?
For drywall, an in-wall rated power and cable kit drops cords inside the wall cavity legally and invisibly. On brick or concrete, a painted surface raceway is the clean option.
What height should a TV be mounted?
Center of screen at seated eye level, roughly 42 inches from the floor for typical sofas. Every inch higher adds neck angle. Above-fireplace installs trade this off, which is why we suggest tilt mounts there.
