Tile & Flooring Repair on Long Island
Cracked tiles, stained or crumbling grout, and failed shower caulk are repairs, not remodels. We replace individual tiles, regrout and reseal wet areas, and fix loose or lifting floor sections, keeping water out of the structure underneath, which is the real job.
Problems this solves
- Cracked or hollow-sounding tiles
- Grout lines crumbling or permanently stained
- Moldy, pulling-away caulk in showers and tubs
- Water getting behind tile at fixtures and corners
- Loose transition strips and lifting vinyl or laminate
What’s included
- Individual tile removal and replacement
- Regrouting bathrooms, kitchens, and entries
- Silicone re-caulking of tubs, showers, and backsplashes
- Grout sealing after cure
- Loose tile re-bonding and subfloor spot repair
- Vinyl, laminate, and transition repairs
Signs you may need this
- A tile sounds hollow when tapped
- Grout comes out when you run a fingernail across it
- Black staining along tub caulk that cleaning cannot remove
- Tiles cracking along a line (movement underneath)
What affects scope and price
We do not publish flat prices because these factors genuinely change the work. The estimate itemizes them for your project.
- Availability of matching tile (save your spares)
- Isolated damage versus movement or moisture underneath
- Regrouting area and grout condition
- Shower work needing cure time before use
Tile & Flooring questions
Can you match my existing tile?
If you have spares, perfectly. If not, we look for the closest current match, or borrow tiles from a hidden spot such as inside a closet. Where no match exists, a deliberate accent row can look intentional.
Why do my tiles keep cracking in the same place?
A line of cracked tiles almost always means the floor is flexing underneath, often a subfloor seam or joist issue. We fix the movement first; otherwise new tiles crack the same way.
How long before I can use the shower after regrouting?
Typically 24 hours for grout, 24 hours for silicone caulk, then sealing after grout cures fully. We schedule wet-area work so you are never without a working bathroom overnight where possible.
