Pressure Washing on Long Island

Pressure washing removes the algae, mildew, pollen film, and grime that Long Island humidity feeds all summer. The skill is matching pressure to surface: soft-wash for vinyl siding and roofs, moderate pressure for concrete, and low pressure with the grain for wood decks. Wrong pressure does permanent damage, which is why gas-station rental wands ruin so many decks.

Problems this solves

  • Green algae film on north-facing siding
  • Black-streaked, slippery walkways and steps
  • A gray deck that needs cleaning before staining
  • Mildewed fences and patio furniture
  • Grimy curb appeal before listing photos or a party

What’s included

  • House siding soft-wash (vinyl, aluminum, fiber cement)
  • Deck and fence washing with wood-safe pressure
  • Concrete, paver, and stone patio cleaning
  • Walkway, driveway, and step cleaning
  • Outdoor kitchen and furniture cleaning
  • Pre-paint and pre-stain surface prep

Signs you may need this

  • Green or black film that returns every summer
  • Walkways slippery when wet
  • Stain or paint planned (washing is step one)
  • Spider webs and pollen crust on soffits and porch ceilings

What affects scope and price

We do not publish flat prices because these factors genuinely change the work. The estimate itemizes them for your project.

  • Surface types and total area
  • Two-story siding and roofline access
  • Organic growth severity and pre-treatment needs
  • Water source availability on site

Ivan and his team did a fabulous job powerwashing my deck and patio and cementing pool railing anchors. All lost sand from the spaces between the stones was replaced. I recommend them highly to anyone who asks me.

Pressure Washing questions

Will pressure washing damage my siding?

Not done correctly. Vinyl and aluminum get a soft-wash: low pressure with a cleaning solution that kills the algae, rather than blasting it. High pressure on siding forces water behind panels and voids the point of the job.

How often should a Long Island house be washed?

Most homes benefit from washing every 1 to 2 years. Shaded, tree-heavy lots on the North Shore grow algae faster and often need annual washing on the north side.

Can you wash and stain the deck in one visit?

Wash and stain need dry wood between them, so it is two visits: wash first, then stain once moisture readings are right, usually 2 to 4 dry days later.
